Fostered Flock
In addition to caring for our own companion parrots, our family partners with a local avian rescue to foster large birds in need and help prepare them for their forever homes. Meet our current foster birds, along with those who have already found their loving forever families!

George the Orange-Wing Amazon
George is a 45-year-old Orange-Winged Amazon currently in our care after the passing of his primary caregiver. Having spent most of his life in a cage with very little interaction, George is now learning that people can be kind, patient, and trustworthy. This sweet older gentleman has a heart of gold, and we cannot wait for him to find the right person to love and care for him.

Barney the Green-Wing Macaw
Barney is a 35-year-old Green-winged Macaw who came into our care following the passing of his primary caregiver. His remaining family was unable to continue caring for him, so Barney needed a new home.
For most of his life, Barney had eaten an almost entirely human-food diet, making the transition to a healthy, bird-appropriate diet our biggest challenge. He was not pleased to trade his favourite Smarties snacks for pellets and chop at first, but he eventually discovered how much better he felt—and how much more beautiful his feathers became.
Barney has now been adopted by a wonderful woman with previous macaw experience. We wish him all the best in his new forever home!
